Linking themes of environmentalism and the relationship between humans and nature, Annelies Cullen is a contemporary ceramicist based in Wicklow, Ireland. Using a variety of techniques, Cullen aspires to create enticing and visually intriguing forms. Annelies evokes visceral tension through her delicate ceramic creating a sense of proprioception within a space, asking viewers to engage with the work and question how the work and its subject matter may relate to them. 

In her most recent works, she addresses the human impact on climate by creating a visual monologue between ceramics and found objects, exploring impact and fragility. Annelies earned her bachelor's degree in Ceramics and Education at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin in 2020.
